The young Xavi joined our team this year; he will be at the roughest world Cup tracks across Europe. He will delight us with his courage and try to be as far forward as possible. “The best of luck Xavi”
” “My name is Xavi Simo, I have over 16 years competing in mountain bike, now I have 21 years and live in Lerida. I started my first year racing at regional and national junior achieving the Catalan Championship in 2007 and have risen in the national podiums several times. Since 2009 I participated in 5 world cups, where the best result so far has been Fort William in 2010 ending 89th.
At the end of 2010, a broken collarbone stopped me a run of good races, and I had stopped to race until early 2011.
I hope that gradually returns to have the confidence to see me with the best!
The goal is to keep improving and get a high level and enough experience to enter the finals of the World Cup”
” As a rider, I consider myself a technical and fine rider. I’m not a super fitted but I try to take the bike with ease at all times to wear the minimum.
My strength is always trying to cut corners in order to save some seconds.”
